During your stay we will also visit a local winery where we will experience a full day of “vendemmia” from picking to squeezing the grapes. And of course, wine tasting! You can also buy great wines here for reasonable prices. Visit an open air market, buy fresh produce and cook together. We will take some day trip around Calabria.
Cooking Classes
Chef Gregorio and his family welcome you to the kitchen for hands-on cooking classes with seasonal, local ingredients. You will prepare Calabrese recipes from antipasto, pasta, main course and desserts; all with a toast of prosecco, aperitivo and wine. You’ll be slicing, dicing and preparing recipes, while learning cooking secrets and new recipes each day. His cooking style incorporates the region’s most prized ingredients, which are showcased in every recipe he makes. While you are cooking up a storm you will also learn about traditional culinary foods and ancient recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. The family’s passion for cooking is evident in every cooking class!
Chef Gregorio also respects every food intolerances, including vegetarian and gluten-free.
Accommodations
We will welcome you in a beautiful villa overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, in Davoli, while you are staying in Calabria for 7 days, with comfortable rooms, daily breakfast and maid service. Fire-place, heating system, air conditioning, private bathrooms, hairdryers, to make your stay as comfy as possible. 2 nights in a 3 or 4 start hotel in Taormina, Sicily. A healthy daily breakfast is included with hot croissants, chocolate, fresh milk, coffee, tea (various species), homemade pastries, fruit (varies according to the seasons), shortbread biscuits, cereals, muesli, yogurt, juices, artisan breads with condiments of butter, homemade jams, organic honey, chocolate spread, salami and cheese are just a few of the hearty choices.
